My name is Sarah and I'm a mad Art-Scientist...

I've found that I'm at my happiest when I'm covered in paint and "goop," so absorbed in a project that I haven't realized that it's 3 a.m.   For as long as I can remember, I have been making and creating things, and will continue to do so because I feel compelled to create. The world of theatre has provided a practical and meaningful place to explore all the things I already enjoyed doing.  Working in theatre has taught me a vast variety of new skills and techniques that I can use in my personal work as an artist, as well as a strong appreciation for the collaborative nature of a production.

I have always had a fascination with creatures and puppetry, and I believe this has been an inspirational factor in all of my life's work. The varied skills and disciplines from my theatre and arts background are all combined in the lab of creature effects.

Education:  I have two degrees from The University of Colorado at Boulder:  a BFA in Theatre Design (with an emphasis in scene painting) and a BA in Art Studio (in sculpture, painting, and drawing).
